Otto Farrant (Alex, center) stars with Brenock O’Connor (Tom, left) & Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo (Jack, right).

The cast shares their thoughts about each of their characters, and we’ve dug up some additional intel on your favorite stars. Let’s get this mission started!

Otto Farrant on Alex Rider: "He’s someone who really tries to find the best in situations, and his heart is always in the right place. He’s being pushed and pulled and manipulated–sometimes even tortured–but he gets through it."

London-born Otto Farrant has been acting since he was 11 years old. His debut feature film role was in Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans, followed by performances in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen alongside Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt, and The Great Ghost Rescue.

Farrant’s television credits include The White Queen, alongside Rebecca Ferguson; Silk; BBC’s War and Peace; Marcella; and Mrs. Wilson, in which he starred alongside Ruth Wilson and Iain Glen.

On stage, Farrant has been in The Merry Wives of Windsor at Shakespeare’s Globe; The Habit of Art at the National Theatre directed by Nicholas Hytner; Jonathan Kent’s Oedipus, also at the National Theatre; and Benedict Andrews’ A Streetcar Named Desire at the Young Vic and its transfer to St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York. Farrant also appeared in Once in a Lifetime at the Young Vic, directed by Richard Jones.

Brenock O’Connor

Brenock O’Connor on Tom Harris: “This season, there’s a sense that Tom’s a little bit sick of being stuck on the sidelines and being used as a prop, but he still cares a lot for what Alex is going through. When your best mate is being emotionally manipulated by supervillains, it does get a little bit ropey on the friendship side, but there’s always a solid base around them.”

English actor Brenock O'Connor plays Alex’s best friend and sidekick named Tom in IMDb TV’s adaptation of Anthony Horowitz's hit series Alex Rider.

O’Connor previously starred as Olly in Game of Thrones, Sky TV's Living the Dream series, Channel 4's Irish comedy Derry Girls, and BBC series' Dickensian and The Split.

He had a lead role in the film The Bromley Boys, along with roles in Vita and Virginia and Another Mother's Son.

On stage, O’Connor appeared in the musical adaptation of the hit film Sing Street, for which he received a Drama League Nomination. The New York Times described his performance as “a smashing New York stage debut.” O’Connor is also a singer-songwriter performing under the name McGovern.

Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo

Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo on Jack Starbright: “In Season Two, Jack has a new job at a law firm so we see her doing stuff that she really enjoys and having interactions with new people that she really admires and loves; it’s fun to see her in a different environment. She has a lot of integrity with her work, but she’s also very aware that she cares for Alex, and she can see through it when he’s pretending to be okay but actually not feeling his best.”

London-born actress Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo has had numerous roles on television including Channel 5’s Suspects, ITV’s Cold Feet, E4’s Chewing Gum, BBC’s NW, and Disney’s biographical drama Christopher Robin. She appeared in AMC’s sci-fi anthology series Soulmates and had a memorable turn in the BBC series Doctor Who playing Penny in the Season 10 episode Extremis.

Her movie roles include the BFI-Film4 musical Been So Long, followed by a cameo in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, and the Italian feature The Big Other. Her other film credits include Ear for Eye.

Adékoluẹjo won the Ian Charleson Award for her stage performance as Abosede in Three Sisters at the National Theatre and received rave reviews for her one-woman show Lava and for writing Teleportation, part of the This Is Black Festival

Marli Siu

Marli Siu on Kyra Vashenko-Chao: “In Season Two, she’s spikier...and a bit defensive, so there’s still a lot of her Season One attributes, but with Alex is where you start to learn more about her. She’s already got an established trust with Alex, but there’s a little bit more exploration into that relationship."

Scottish actress Marli Siu is back for Alex Rider Season Two in addition to having a lead role in the BBC adaptation of Dolly Alderton's bestselling memoir Everything I Know About Love. Her other TV credits include Netflix’s The Irregulars, ITV’s Grantchester, and BBC’s Still Game.

Siu won the British Academy Film Award (BAFTA) Scotland in 2021 for her performance in Run and was also on the big screen in Sony’s feature Our Ladies.

On stage, Siu played the lead in the National Theatre’s Ocean at the End of the Lane. Her other theatre credits include Misalliance at the Orange Tree Theatre. In 2018, she was a Screen International Star of Tomorrow.

Charithra Chandran

Charithra Chandran on Sabina Pleasance: “She’s well rounded and level-headed, but she’s also athletic, confident, and fun. She’s also really kind and nurturing. She seems to be good at everything, in a way. I wish I was more like her in real life!”

London-born Charithra Chandran began performing at a young age in productions of touring West End musicals. Her credits include director John Livesey’s Drunk Enough to Say I Love You.

She landed the role of Edwina in Season Two of Bridgerton, the Regency-era period drama series based on Julia Quinn’s romance novels. She is also a member of the National Youth Theatre and is fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil. Among her many skills, Chandran lists Bollywood dancing.

Toby Stephens

Toby Stephens on Damian Cray: "He is a billionaire technology mogul. Hyper-intelligent and incredibly driven, obviously. His driving force is something tragic that happened to him when he was 17, around Alex Rider’s age, and that has shaped his world."

English actor Toby Stephens shot to fame as Bond villain Gustav Graves starring with Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day (2002), for which he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Stephens also starred in the BBC mini-series Jane Eyre, as Captain Flint in the Starz television series Black Sails, and in the adventure thriller Lost In Space.
